COACHING SERVICES

Coaching was once reserved for the top-level executives of Fortune 500 companies. These companies had the financial resources to invest in high potential executives. CEO's of some of the most successful and largest companies have relied on executive coaches.

Today coaching is not simply for the corporate elite but any organization or individual serious about quickly turning leadership potential into exceptional performance. Coaching is a powerful partnership that will help you evolve faster and more comprehensively.

WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is a new technology of personal and professional development based on concepts from sports, business, spirituality, psychology and organizational development. It's for passionate people who want more from their personal and business lives. A coach helps them set larger, more rewarding goals, develop a strategy to achieve them and provide support throughout the process. It's not unlike having a personal trainer or an athletic coach... transformational, but in a business and personal sense. The achievement of goals is something that comes more quickly as a result of the coaching partnership.

How We Work Together

BSMART Coaching facilitates open dialogue and meaningful discussions  addressing the core issues on which a strong organizational foundation is built. Without these core elements progress, creativity, loyalty, quality and organizational vitality will diminish.

Let’s DiSC-uss This

This hands-on communication workshop is based on the DiSC assessment. DiSC is a behavior assessment tool which centers on four different behavioral traits: dominance, influence, steadiness, and conscientious. Each of us demonstrate behaviors based on one of these four traits. Whether you are aware of it or not, these behavioral traits orchestrate how we communicate and interact with others.

Each trait has motivations, preferences and unique ways in which work is approached and performed.

When you are aware of the behavioral styles and nuances of your teammates you will begin to communicate in ways that are more customized, productive, satisfying and authentic.

Each participant completes a DiSC assessment. This interactive workshop reviews participant results. It also provides an overview of the group’s dynamics (strengths and challenges). With the facilitator’s help, participants co-create a new standard by which communication is conducted within the team and/or organization.

Outcomes:

  • Recognition and application of individual strengths for the collective good
  • Open and constructive dialog
  • Comprehensive and timely decision-making process
  • Improved morale
  • Increased innovation
  • Reduced conflict and improved conflict management
  • Decreased frustration and negative water cooler talk

Whether you have taken the DiSC assessment previously or not, this training allows your team to apply and reinforce that learning to transform your daily interactions.

Workshop is offered:

Half-day

Full day

Two full days (Consider as a part of your annual retreat)

*Consider individual coaching after the training to apply learning to the day-to-day operations is strongly encouraged.

Leading with Social + Emotional Intelligence

Some would argue that emotional intelligence is just as important as traditional IQ. Social and emotional intelligence is the ability to be aware of our own emotions and those of others, in the moment, and to use that information to manage ourselves and manage our relationships. There are four areas of focus in this model of social and emotional intelligence:

Personal Competence: (These competencies determine how we manage ourselves)

  • Self-Awareness (Knowing one's internal states, preferences, resources and intuitions)
  • Self-Management (Managing one's internal states, impulses and resources)

Social Competence: These competencies determine how we handle relationships

  • Social Awareness- Other Awareness (Awareness of others' feelings, needs and concerns)
  • Social Skills- Relationship Management (Adeptness at inducing desirable responses in others)

As awareness is the cornerstone of this learning opportunity, participants will complete the Social + Emotional Intelligence Profile (SEIP) assessment. This interactive workshop is designed based on your goals for developing leadership skills to increase bench strength, transform corporate culture, and increase employee engagement, innovation and productivity. When members of your team increase its social and emotional intelligence, conflict is reduced and trust is re-established.

Outcomes:

  • Understanding of how your behavior impacts others on the team and in the organization
  • Greater awareness of self, strengths and growth opportunities
  • Increased awareness of others in the moment, and how to use that information to create better outcomes
  • Stronger leadership and managerial skills
  • Increased employee engagement for a more productive work environment
  • Strategies that strengthen your communication and interpersonal skills
  • Increased stress management skills
  • Savvy management of conflict

Workshop is Offered:

Two full days (Consider as a part of your annual retreat)

*Consider individual coaching after the training to apply learning to the day-to-day operations is strongly encouraged.

The Social + Emotional Intelligence Approach to Diversity and Inclusion

When you think about it, true organizational diversity is dependent upon its level of self-awareness and social competence. Most are familiar with diversity training that offers a simplistic and rote review of the primary dimensions:

  • Race/Ethnicity
  • Age
  • Physical abilities
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender
  • Religious beliefs

This is not to say that these dimensions of diversity are not important but our understanding and application seldom goes beyond the annual training that serves only to protect the organization from lawsuits.

This workshop offers a fresh approach to diversity by exploring it through the lens of social and emotional intelligence. Diversity starts with a real appreciation for things that are different i.e. unlike ourselves. Diversity is a process that begins with thought. It values the sharing of ideas. It then takes action on those thoughts and perspectives to produce an organizational infrastructure that demonstrates inclusion from the micro level (one-on-one and team meetings) to the macro level (hiring, products, services, community and stakeholders). How we manage diversity has everything to do with:

Personal Competence: (These competencies determine how we manage ourselves)

  • Self-Awareness (Knowing one's internal states, preferences, resources and intuitions)
  • Self-Management (Managing one's internal states, impulses and resources)

Social Competence: These competencies determine how we handle relationships

  • Social Awareness- Other Awareness (Awareness of others' feelings, needs and concerns)
  • Social Skills- Relationship Management (Adeptness at inducing desirable responses in others)

By exploring these areas and how they relate to diversity, participants will begin to gain greater awareness of their limitations and acknowledge areas for growth. Diversity is simply another layer to consider when building relationships with ourselves, our team, customers, and stakeholders.

As awareness is the cornerstone of this learning opportunity, participants will complete the Social + Emotional Intelligence Profile (SEIP) assessment. This interactive workshop provides leaders and managers with an opportunity to analyze their ability to embrace:

  • Accurate self-assessment
  • Emotional self-awareness
  • Personal power
  • Behavioral control
  • Integrity
  • Achievement and drive
  • Innovation and change
  • Initiative and bias for action
  • Empathy
  • Service orientation
  • Conflict management skills
  • Building bonds
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Building trust and more

These are the factors that dictate how little or how much we embrace diversity. It starts with thought. When leaders and managers are open to change and the sharing of personal power the benefits of diversity infiltrates the entire organization.

Outcomes:

  • Better decision-making
  • Eradication of barriers that cause employees to not share insights
  • Employees who are free to self-actualize (reach highest levels)
  • Innovation at every level within the organization
  • A unique work environment where all people feel respected, acknowledged and valued
  • Grow revenue by expanding and delivering customized products and services to a broader market
  • Development of a social brand that is forward-thinking and inclusive

Workshop is Offered:

Half-day

Full day

Two full days (Consider as a part of your annual retreat)

*Consider individual coaching after the training to apply learning to the day-to-day operations is strongly encouraged.

As a facilitator, she helped to bring together our program coordinators as a team and to challenge us in our role as supervisors. She was very observant of our needs and was flexible with her agenda to make sure that our present concerns were addressed. She helped us to stay grounded and offered tangible relevant action steps toward constructive problem-solving. SHE IS AN EXCELLENT FACILITATOR AND A GREAT RESOURCE FOR NAVIGATING ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE AND GROWTH. Hers is a valuable outside perspective worth investing in!”
